About JOC Casters

JOC Casters is named after our good friend Jude O Connor who died in unfortunate circumstances on the 25/11/2004. We had all been interested in fishing but had done nothing about it, i suppose the truth about it is that Judes departure from this life made us all realise how important it was to keep in touch with each other.

This led to the clubs inception in 2005, the first 2 years were a bit hit & miss until we got down to the core membership which at this moment is 8 members. We run a trip a month for 6 months of the year a few members have a couple of trips outside the registered ones, this keeps us all in touch & we frequently have a few beers to discuss past & future trips.

I couldn’t finish without paying homage to one of the nicest people i had the pleasure in meeting & sharing some years of my life with, when in need of strength to get through the tough times it’s these people that we reflect upon.
